Skills Funding for your Business

Is your business looking for funding to improve the skills of its employees?

If the answer is YES, join Business Wales at the inaugural Port Talbot Waterfront Enterprise Zone breakfast event in conjunction with Business Wales, and Neath Port Talbot Council.

The event will take place on Thursday 5th July in the Baglan Bay Innovation Centre between 9:00am and 11:00am. 

The event will consider the range of skills support available to your business. This includes numerous programmes which can provide funding to support training and skills development. The presenters will include:

Business Wales Skills Gateway – The Skills Gateway will help you identify training and development opportunities to upskill staff and support growth. It will also highlight potential funding opportunities to upskill your staff.

Metal - Offers technical courses for £200 - £250 in a range of subjects, including introduction to materials engineering, manufacturing technology, computer aided design, corrosion and coatings and practical metallurgy. These courses will increase your staff's understanding of their work, including what they do, and why they do it.

Skills for Industry 2 The programme can help you enhance your employees skills, so that they are equipped to identify new market opportunities, able to recognise change as an opportunity - not a threat, and have the knowledge to drive through sustained business growth. There will be a contribution for the training depending on the size of your business, 30% for small businesses, 40% for medium sized businesses and 50% for large businesses.
